PROPERTIES OF ESSENTIAL OIL

Antioxidant:The main antioxidant found in basil essential oil derives from rosmarinic acid. There are also phenolic acids and flavonoids which have antioxidant properties.
Antispasmodic and stomachic:Its richness in methylchavicol makes this oil a treatment of choice against spasmodic disorders (bloating, aerophagia, nausea, digestive spasms).
Analgesic:Elle reduces pain thanks to its concentration of linalool, a molecule responsible for the floral and fresh touch of its fragrance.
Antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial:Its concentration of methylchavicol and linalool helps strengthen the immune system, helps destroy bad bacteria and has antagonistic activity to that of intestinal worms.
Powerful expectorant:Thanks to its richness in cineol, it is able to increase the expulsion of mucus from the trachea or bronchi through expectoration or cough.
Anti-inflammatory rheumatic and arterial:Via linalool, the essential oil has an anti-inflammatory action.
Insecticide:The constituents methylcinnamate, methylchavicol, ocimene, cineole and linalool have recognized insecticidal activity.

Inhalation

Keep your head under the towel for ten minutes. Stop if it becomes unpleasant.
Repeat the operation 3 times a day.
There is a possible variant: place a few drops of essential oil of tropical basil on a handkerchief and inhale deeply for 2-3 minutes, or directly above the bottle.
Diffusion
Do not diffuse pure tropical Basil essential oil: it should be diluted between 10 and 15% in other essential oils.
Diffusion by nebulization. These diffusers, which propel the essential oil by a pump, are the most effective, but their price is generally high and they can be more or less noisy.
Ultrasonic diffusion (misting). Less powerful, these diffusers remain effective in benefiting from the effects of the essential oil in closed rooms.
Diffusion by gentle heat.Pour a few drops of essential oil into the small receptacle of these diffusers. Under the effect of heat, the volatile aromatic particles will mingle with the atmosphere. To be used ideally in a small closed room.
